1. USE OF THE SERVICE
You may use this tool at https://extremehosting.nl/configurator/ free ofcharge, for any purpose including commercial use, without an account and
without registration.
The tool runs entirely in your browser. Device details, addresses, passwords
and every other value you enter stay on your computer. They are not sent to
eXtreme Datacenter, not logged and not stored. A share link encodes your
configuration into the URL itself; if you send that link to someone, you are
sending them your configuration.
The website, including this tool, uses Google Analytics to count page views
and which parts of the tool are used, such as opening the network board,
downloading a script or which MikroTik model is chosen from the catalogue.
Google receives the usual technical details of a visit, like your IP address
and browser. None of the values you enter in the tool are part of that: no
names, addresses, passwords, keys or other settings.
2. THE CONFIGURATIONS YOU GENERATE ARE YOURS
Configuration scripts produced by this tool belong to you. You may use, modify, publish, distribute and sell them without restriction, without a fee
and without crediting anyone. No term of this licence applies to that output.
The tool writes a header comment naming itself into each script, and marks the
rules it generates with a "genconf:" comment. You may remove both. They are
there to help whoever reads the script later, not to make a claim on it.
3. THE SOFTWARE ITSELF
The application, its source code, the device catalogue and the accompanyingtexts are licensed for use through this website, not sold, and remain the
property of the copyright holder.
Without prior written permission you may not:
a. copy, publish, distribute, sublicense, rent, sell or otherwise make
available the software or a substantial part of it;
b. create a derivative work of it;
c. operate a service based on it, whether or not for payment;
d. extract or re-use a substantial part of the device catalogue.
Reading the code your browser has loaded, for your own understanding, is not
restricted. Republishing it is.
4. STUDY AND INTEROPERABILITY
Nothing in this licence limits the rights granted by Articles 45m to 45n ofthe Dutch Copyright Act (Auteurswet) and by Directive 2009/24/EC, including
the right to observe, study and test the operation of the software, and to
decompile it where that is necessary to achieve interoperability with an
independently created program. Any term of this licence that would restrict
those rights does not apply to the extent of that restriction.
5. THIRD-PARTY MATERIAL
"MikroTik", "RouterOS" and "SwOS" are trademarks of Mikrotikls SIA. This toolis not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by or supported by Mikrotikls
SIA, and is not an official MikroTik product.
The manual pages served under /configurator/mikrotik/docs/ are MikroTik's
copyrighted material, mirrored with their permission. Each page links to its
source. They are not covered by this licence and no claim is made to them.
Where you select MikroTik's own default firewall, the rules reproduced are
MikroTik's shipped default configuration. They are theirs, reproduced so that
the generated script matches a factory device, and no claim is made to them.
The device catalogue describes published facts about MikroTik hardware. Those
facts are not claimed. Its compilation, structure, corrections and annotations
are the work of eXtreme Datacenter and are covered by clause 3.
6. NO WARRANTY, AND WHAT THAT MEANS HERE
This tool generates configurations for network equipment. Applying anincorrect or unsuitable configuration can lock you out of a device, interrupt
your network or expose it. The software is provided "as is" and "as
available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including
fitness for a particular purpose and correctness of the generated output.
Apply a generated configuration only to a device you can physically reach,
with Safe Mode active, and read every line before you paste it.
To the extent permitted by law, eXtreme Datacenter is not liable for any
direct, indirect, incidental or consequential damage arising from the use of
this tool or of anything it produces, including loss of connectivity, loss of
data and loss of business. This clause does not exclude liability for intent
or deliberate recklessness, or any other liability that cannot be excluded
under Dutch law.
7. AVAILABILITY
The tool is offered free of charge and without any undertaking as toavailability. It may be changed, taken offline for maintenance or withdrawn at
any time without notice.
8. GOVERNING LAW
This licence is governed by Dutch law. Disputes are submitted to the competentcourt in [DISTRICT], the Netherlands.
9. PERMISSION AND CONTACT
